Troubleshooting¶
Start with the message shown in GaugeDesk. A denied action often means that a security check worked as designed.
A run is denied¶
Check:
- the selected agent version;
- the file or tool that the agent tried to use;
- the permissions for this run;
- project or team policy;
- whether an approval expired or was withdrawn; and
- whether the work changed after review.
Do not add a broad permission only to remove the error. Allow the smallest file, tool, or action that the task needs.
The model request fails¶
Check the provider connection, credential, model name, account balance, rate limit, and network setting. A run with all network access disabled cannot call a remote model.
Never paste a credential into a chat or support request.
The agent cannot read a file¶
Allow the exact file for the run. If the file changed after you allowed it, review and allow the current version.
The agent cannot change its own instructions¶
This is correct in a work chat. Open an edit chat, change the draft, test it, and save a new fixed version.
A website panel does not start¶
Check:
- the deployment is active;
- the page origin is allowed;
- the page uses the current integration code;
- the requested panel type is allowed;
- the visitor can sign in, if required;
- session and spend limits are not reached; and
- the selected provider credential is valid.
A website session does not resume¶
Confirm that the same visitor identity or resume information is present and that the session is still within its retention period.
A collected result does not arrive¶
Confirm that the published version declared collection, the result matches its path and schema rules, the size is below the limit, and the correct account is draining results.
GaugeDesk puts downloaded visitor material in quarantine. Review it there; it does not go directly into an agent's files.
GaugeDesk does not start¶
Check the installation instructions, operating-system support, downloaded file, signature or notarization status, and application logs.
Contact support¶
Include:
- GaugeDesk version and operating system;
- time of the failure, with time zone;
- the action you expected;
- the result you received;
- a redacted error or audit identifier; and
- steps that repeat the problem with safe test data.
Do not include API keys, passwords, private legal material, or customer data. See Support.
