Glossary

The task guides use ordinary product terms. This glossary explains less common terms that appear in technical, audit, or security pages.

Term	Meaning
Agent	Reusable instructions, tools, and limits for one type of work. Technical specifications can call this an archetype.
Draft	An agent version that its author can still change.
Fixed version	A saved agent version that cannot change.
Project	The people, agents, files, rules, and history for a body of work.
Run	One attempt to complete a task.
Work chat	A chat that uses an agent on project files. It cannot change the agent.
Edit chat	A chat used to change an agent draft.
Allowed context	Files or other data approved for one run. Technical pages can call this admitted context.
Permission	Approval for a specific person or agent to perform an action. Technical pages can call this authority or a capability.
Boundary	The limit around data, actions, and people that may use them.
Candidate	Agent work that a person has not accepted.
Release	An approved transfer of content to another person, team, or system.
Package	One fixed agent version and the information needed for another team to inspect it.
Runtime	The process that runs an agent.
Placement	A binding between one fixed agent version and one project or runtime.
Handle	An identifier for stored content. A handle does not give access to the content.
Federation	Transfer between separate GaugeDesk systems. Each system keeps its own permission checks.
Relay	A service that routes encrypted content between systems without reading it.
Attestation	Evidence that an approved workload is running on an expected host.
Website agent	An agent published for visitors on a website. Technical pages can call its UI an Embeddable Panel.
Deployment	The settings that make a website agent available at an allowed site.
Session	One visitor's website-agent interaction, fixed to one release version.
Collection	A result that a website deployment is allowed to return to its owner.
Quarantine	A holding area for untrusted input until a person or approved check accepts it.
Stakeholder	A person or group whose approval is required before protected content is released.
Operator	The person or company that controls a computer or hosted service.
